Dickerson number one in West Asia Super League for round 10

American-UAE Guard DeMarco Dickerson (196-G-1997, agency: One Motive Sports) had a very impressive game in the last round for Al Sharjah, receiving a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 10.
The 28-year old player got a double-double of 29 points and 12 assists, while his team edged out Al-Ula (2-2) 101-100. The game was between two of the league's top four teams. Al Sharjah maintains the 3rd position in West Asia Super League . Al Sharjah is a typical solid league team placed somewhere in the middle or a little bit lower in the standings. They need more victories to improve their 2-2 record. In the team's last game Dickerson had a remarkable 70.0% from 2-point range and got four three-pointers out of 9 attempts. It's his second year at Al Sharjah and it's hard to imagine this team without him. Former Siena Heights University star has very solid stats this year. Dickerson is in league's top in assists (2nd best: 12.7apg) and averages impressive 57.1% FGP. Worth to mention Dickerson played also at Eurobasket Summer League, which helped him get the job in pro basketball.

The second best player in last round's games was young Lebanese Wael Arakji (193-G-1994) of league's second-best Al-Ula. Arakji had a very good evening with 35 points, 4 rebounds and 5 assists. Bad luck as Al-Ula was edged by Al Sharjah (2-2) 101-100. It was definitely game of the week between two contenders to the title. Al-Ula still maintains its place in the top 2 of the standings, even despite this loss. His team's 2-2 record is not bad at all. Arakji is a newcomer at Al-Ula, but is already one of team's top players. He belongs to the best scorers in the league with 28.7ppg (#1). His other stats are also decent: 6.0rpg and 9.0apg.

Third on the list of top players last round was another Al Sharjah's star - American forward Glenn Robinson III (198-F-1994). Robinson III got into 30-points club by scoring 32 points in the last round. He went also for six rebounds and four assists. He was another key player of Al Sharjah, helping his team with a 101-100 win against #2 ranked Al-Ula. Al Sharjah needs these victories very badly if they think about getting closer to top teams. Their record at this point is 2 victories and 2 lost games. Robinson III has a great season in West Asia Super League. After only 3 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 25.3ppg (4th best).
